Kevin Foley is also training with Ireland this week.

*Wayne Hennessey, Dave Edwards and Sam vokes all featured in Wales’ 2-0 defeat to Croatia. Hennessey played 45, Vokes 19 and Edwards played the full 90.

*Liam Lawrence has said he wants to leave Stoke and has talked highly of Mick McCarthy. Maybe a potential move for the winger?

He told the Express & Star: “Mick gave me my chance when he signed me from Mansfield for Sunderland. He’s a great manager and he’s done an amazing job this year keeping Wolves up.

“I’ve spoken to my manager at Stoke, Tony Pulis, and told him that I think it’s best if I move on.

“If I’m not playing regularly, the Republic of Ireland boss isn’t going to take a chance on me.”

*Kevin Doyle missed training with Ireland yesterday due to a sore throat. Get the Strepsils out son!
